Mission Statement

The Kitchener & Waterloo Cambodian Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and preserving Khmer (Cambodian) culture, supporting interaction and understanding among those who bear interest in Cambodia and our culture and people, and enhancing the economic, cultural, and social quality of life of Cambodian/Canadian regardless of political affiliation, race, sex, or religion. KWCA’s activities include small business development, education, training, and multi-community collaboration for social and economic programs. Based in Kitchener, the KWCA serves Cambodians and reaches out to other Cambodian Canadians throughout Ontario.

Mr. Kosal Tep

Mr. Kosal Tep has been very active in the community for over 30 years. He is an exceptional role model for the Cambodian Community in the surrounding area, a dedicated volunteer, and passionately assists Khmer people with interpreting services. He has consistently exhibited a deep commitment to improving the lives of others. His unwavering dedication and selflessness have resonated profoundly within the community, fostering a sense of unity and compassion among its members.

Vice President

Mr. Kann Ros

Mr. Kann Ros has served in the Cambodian Community of Kitchener/Waterloo for over 30 years. Mr. Kann Ross has been involved with the Cambodian Community for many years and has served as the President of CCKW since 1991. He has been an advocate for Cambodians in Kitchener and a supporter of the Khmer language and culture, and is active in the Khmer Buddhist community. As one of the most well-respected and well-known members of our community, he helps to organize Khmer Buddhist holy days and festivals and is a great resource for our Community.

Mrs. Sovankiri Meas

Mrs. Sovankiri Meas has been very supportive in our community and well respected among youths. With her strong leadership role, she has been appointed as vice president. She will be in charge of various roles including the internal policy of our association.

General Secretary

Mr. Nao Nal

Mr. Nao Nal (Mr. Prom Phalla) has been involved for over 30 years in promoting and preserving the Khmer Culture through his talent for music interactions and understanding among people of Khmer heritage and those who bear interest in Cambodia. He is well known and most respected among Cambodian youth.

Treasurer

Mr. Hean Pech

Mr. Hean Pech has served in Cambodian Community as Treasurer for over 30 years. He is also a Cambodian language teacher, a supporter of the Khmer language and culture, and is active in the Khmer Buddhist community. As one of the most well-respected and well-known members of our community.

Treasurer Assistance

Mrs. Ham Seng

Mrs. Ham Seng has been passionately dedicating her time and efforts to making a positive impact in the Kitchener-Waterloo community for more than ten years. Her unwavering commitment to volunteerism has not only inspired others but has also led to numerous impactful initiatives that have benefited countless individuals. Mrs. Ham Seng’s selflessness and dedication have made her an invaluable asset to the community, and her remarkable contributions continue to enhance the lives of those around her.

General Manager and Event Host Coordinator

Mr. Ly Nuth

Mr. Ly Nuth has very strong commitment and has demonstrated his sincerity toward our Cambodian Community. Ly has been actively involved in Kitchener & Waterloo Cambodian Association (KWCA) over 7 years as Events host with his sense of humor and great personality he has been appointed to General Manager & Events Host Coordinator.

Ly is responsible taking charge in managing and working with all staffs during events and also:

  • Welcoming guests to the venue
  • Providing accurate scheduled times and monitoring
  • Managing reservations

Administrative Manager

Mr. Johnny Touch

Mr. Johnny Touch is responsible for maintaining the daily operations of the KWCA Website and supports our Association, performs clerical tasks, and coordinates administrative procedures.

Johnny has a very strong background in Community and has worked throughout his career and has tirelessly volunteered with the Cambodian Association in Kitchener & Waterloo since 2016.
